Traffic Cone Prank
On May 9th 2004, at roughly 9:00 AM, my Red Honda CR-V got a new look. Apparently, someone stopped by and placed three (3) traffic cones on the roof, an orange jumpsuit that read DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS on the driver’s side of the luggage rack, and a large sign on the back that reads, “We Love You Tom”.
But that’s not all! I also received these anonymous E-mail messages.

Luckily, someone left a hand print and a thumb print on the paper sign. The traffic cones were left at the side of the road and we suspect that someone who was responsible for them collected them. The sign we kept as it contains several clues that point directly to who may have done it.
What is interesting is that the sign was taped together with plastic medical tape. The same tape that I use daily at my hospital job, mind you. Furthermore, someone used pencil on one side and black ball-point pen on the other. The sign itself is a vote for sign from Peru, New York.
