A time in my life when everything turned out fine despite the odds was during my final semester in university. I owed a lot for school; I was in debt to loans agency; and because of the money owed for outstanding tuition, I was almost unable to do my exams. I almost broke down psychologically, but I received a divine blessing. A friend of mine told her mother about my issue. She covered my tuition costs. I successfully graduated and now working despite the current pandemic.

I guess that would be my life as a whole. Sure I may not have everything I want yet hell overall I am doing good. I hope I do better in the future.

I have had plenty of short moments like that in my life, I guess when I moved to live alone for first was one of the best moments that I can remember.

I remember going into anaphylactic shock because I ate a combination of some not so fresh shrimp and Thai spices. The doctors at the ER said that if I wasn’t rushed to the hospital within 15 minutes, I could have seriously died. It really was a close shave. I was quite young then (I think I was only around 18 or 19 years of age) and having to experience such an ordeal was quite surreal for me. I was saved, and I was fine, and I am more appreciative of life now. I now become even more cautious of eating shrimp and avoid it altogether if I have to. Oh just to make things clear, I’m fine eating shrimp as long as it is very fresh.

I can still remember the time when I was in debt, i really thought that I cannot get out of it. Fortunately, through the help of my family and friends, I was able to overcome that obstacle.

Back in college. I did manage to graduate even when I thought I would not get the funds. It was totally against the odds.

A very dark time in my life had to do with poor mental health and finishing school. I was in and out of hospitals and was certain, I would fail the college program I was enrolled in. Luckily, I passed and I also turned things around and got my issues straightened out, so I could join the workforce and pursue my passions. When I’m feeling down, I like to remind myself that I got a second chance at life and made so much progress in the last few years.

When I went to visit my boyfriend in another town that I did not know, I took the bus and told the driver to let me know when I got to the town I needed, but it turned out that the driver went to the neighboring town and did not warn me when I reminded him my fate told me a while ago that we passed the town, it told me: get off here and take one back, it left me on a dark and lonely road where cars did not pass often, I stayed a long time waiting and nothing until a man that he was in a motel and he called me and said that if I needed a taxi that no car would stop there, so I approached him to tell him what had happened to me and he helped me.

I was once part of my school basketball team. This one time all the odds were stacked against us and we still managed to win.

I have quite a few of such instances in my life. The most memorable though was managing to make it through college even in a dire financial situation.

Personally I think this whole Covid 19 situation has been a great test. It’s amazing that despite everything most of us are still standing strong and hopeful.

There was a time I was very sick and almost everything seems lost. It’s amazing I was able to miraculously recover.

We have all experienced this at one point or another in our lives. Mine was when I managed to get away unscathed from a grisly road accident.

  • Storm

To be honest I can name so many of such experiences. My most recent one was being able to graduate despite the exams being super difficult.

  • Sylvia

Well it wasn’t me but my mom managed to make a full recovery despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer. If that is not miraculous I don’t know what is!
