For My Beloved

  • March 24, 1998

Your hair so soft,
your eyes so bright,
just thinking of you
brings back fond memories
of those long summer nights.
Our days together
brought light into my life.
But together no longer
life carried us our separate ways
like wind does to a feather.
My dearest one,
come now or come never.

You brought light into my life, soothing words here and I’m sure the beloved will be flattered big time now.

Longing for a long lost love is certainly something that will leave a mark on one’s soul. This longing will even linger until one goes into his or her grave. Cherish the people whom you love, or who love you – it will be a regret that will haunt you for the rest of your life.

Is this based on true events? I see you are using the free verse rather than the rhythmic style. I prefer that to be honest. Very nice!!!

This makes me remember the book of the preacher. Lovely coined words.

Powerful words here for the one that is loved. This can make a heart of stone melt. Words can be such a powerful tool to use.

That takes quite a sad turn. I did not think that it will go apart.
