We still use these up to now. Specially since electric services are absent on far flung areas. It just needs a bit of kerosene and it is good to go. So nostalgic.
The lantern is actually old and there is something specific about this in my countryside. This lantern is useful even when a lady gives birth. Thanks for sharing, Tom

We still sell this kind of lamp in our little concession business. This is very useful. like camping and even power outage.

My grandma still uses this lantern though it is a very old model but it is still as durable as ever, it hardly get bad.

Good old lantern. We had this but can’t even remember where it was dumped for an electronic one now

Wonderful, this is really an old lantern. You make remember my childhood days when electricity is not paramount. Thanks for this clean photograph.

Wow, spooky lantern. I could see it coming right out of a Hitchcock film or other suspense thriller.

The lantern is all dusty. Looks like some clean up is needed.

I miss using these old lanterns. They were so effective.

This lantern must be from a very long time ago. I have never seen anything like it.

Such lanterns used to use kerosene. They were so mechanical.
