    Playful Beginnings: My Writing Career

Today, on the long ago advice of a past teacher, I thought about how far I’ve come in my writing career.  Writing and taking pictures have always been my top two passions in life, which is why I eventually turned my passion into a successful career. I clearly remember sitting in English class in high school.  At the time, my English teacher was in his first year of teaching, and as such, he lacked experience, especially when it came to writing exercises and assignments.  Although I had an A+ average in the class; the next year I would eventually advance into Honors English. Unsent Letters

I was recently thinking about a song by R.E.M. titled E-Bow The Letter.  This post was inspired by the song. Generally, people are familiar with the letters that are sent through the mail.  Letter writing, in its traditional handwritten form has become a lost art, perhaps due to our increasing reliance on digital communication methods. I take very well-organized and detailed notes on everything I find interesting in my life,…

Write More And Other Self-Improvement Plans

I’m on the verge or another year and as of yet I haven’t yet decided upon any new years resolutions as in previous years all my resolutions were historically mundane and common.  It’s no great mystery why marketing companies focus their advertising for self-improvement products to the month of December to profit on the archaic new years resolutions, such as weight loss, matchmaking, and financial gain. This next year (2013), aside from the classic resolutions such as weight loss and personal success in various areas, I resolve to write more.  Quite a lot more.  Looking back on the past decade, I have noticed a disturbing trend; with all the things…
