“My most amazing, epic and most adventurous experiences get documented through my writing and photography work,” states Thomas W.P. Slatin in a recent interview. He continued, “the best part of my childhood were the adventures and experiences I had by exploring places, and today I continue that into adulthood, photographing locations which are off limits to the majority of people.” As summarized by Slatin, he conveyed that he knows that his early explorations as a child, as well as the curiosity and inspiration he had then, has fortunately carried forth accompanying him into adulthood, given his life’s work and passion as a writer and a photographer. As an urban exploration photographer, Slatin discussed visiting and exploring abandoned hotels and resorts in the Catskills Mountains of New York State. According to Slatin, he has various projects slated for the upcoming months, to include photographing an abandoned mansion which has historical significance.

Thomas Slatin was first published as a writer for his poem entitled, “The Tree of Life” which was published in The State of Indiana Big Tree Register. Today as a published writer with various publications as well as a published photographer, he focuses on sharing his photographs and writings with his established online audience. Slatin was awarded the “Dreamiest Website Award” by Dreamhost several years ago.
