Two Ladies Pancake Mix
Recently, my wife Amelia and I have noticed that a lot of food companies are adding soy and excess preservatives to their products, which we would prefer to eliminate from our diets. This is especially true of commercially available pancake mixes. I decided to make our own pancake mix from scratch, using all natural and organic products, post the recipe online, and keep a container of ready-made pancake mix in the cupboard.
I prefer to measure everything scientifically, using the metric system (we have science beakers and laboratory glassware in our kitchen). Our kitchen looks more like a chemistry lab than a typical kitchen.
Here is the recipe…
- 1.4 l (940 Grams) All-Purpose Flour
- 78 ml (77 Grams) Granulated Sugar
- 44 ml Baking Powder
- 10 ml Baking Soda
- 10 ml Salt
Instead of simply putting a label on the container, which is boring, I decided to make a fake logo. The logo advertises Two Ladies Pancake Mix Company, which was established in 2020, the year that Amelia and I first got together.
Using a Cricut machine, I set about cutting the logo using adhesive backed vinyl.
And here is the finished product…
