This is my New York City, cloaked in monochrome mystery, a tableau of progress and pause, where every heartbeat is a verse, and every moment, a line in our collective poem. Here, I am a thread in the fabric, a note in the melody, a drop in the river that flows to tomorrow’s sea.

Cool to see the hybrid bus.
Agree! NYC has a lot of new and exciting public transit technology. 🙂
Beautiful photo but the prose that accompanies it is just breathtaking!
Thank you, Suzanne! Adding a little bit of prose to my photographs was an idea that Amelia suggested to me that I initially dismissed, but decided to start this January. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🙂
Honestly, this may be one of the best photos you’ve ever taken! It’s classic NYC and the monochrome gives it an even more timeless appeal.
Thank you, my love, for standing by my side through all the changes and decisions we’ve had to make together!
Selling my childhood home is a bittersweet moment for me. It’s not just the house itself I’ll miss; it’s the memories of what New York City used to be. Growing up in such a vibrant, ever-changing city has been an incredible experience. It’s been a photographer’s dream, offering endless opportunities to capture its evolving landscape and the stories of those who inhabit it.
Yet, as much as New York City remains an exciting place for photography, it has transformed into a place I hardly recognize anymore. The city I grew up in seems like a distant memory, and once we sell my childhood home, I wonder if I’ll ever find a reason to return.
It feels like closing a chapter on a significant part of my life, leaving behind the streets and corners that hold so many precious moments of my youth. So, thank you for being here with me, for understanding the complexity of emotions this process stirs up.
Your support means the world to me as we navigate this goodbye together.
